How do you cope with the discovery of your husband's long term infidelity when there is no one to turn to? How much more can you learn about someone you think you already know? What choices can a couple make when they feel all is lost? Can a marriage survive the aftermath of a devastating coming to terms with the truth?This atmospheric story is set in lonely coastal town in England. It is Christmas Eve and a fisherman takes to the sea, leaving his ailing daughter at home. When he does not return, she goes to look for him. She wanders the wintery countryside and eventually encounters another lonely soul. I wrote this while I was in hospital, getting chemotherapy for blood cancer; I feel for these characters, fighting for their lives: we all of us have to fight for our life.
