The years in the Texas penal system had matured Willy Baker in every way, except one. His natural physical strength plus the years of hard work in the penal system had formed him physically into a powerful man but still that never quite satisfied him. There was another strength he had seen in his brother John. John's strength was a reasoning mental one. John's point of view always put Willy's arguments to irrelevance.
