Willa and her younger brothers have been living with their father off the grid on the Alaskan wilderness, but with winter approaching and food supplies low, she resolves to take her brothers on a trip down the Yukon River to civilization and safety.Twelve-year-old Willa and her younger brothers have lived in the wilderness with their father ever since their mother died, five years ago.
