When parents around the world go mad and start killing their children, fourteen-year-old Caril Hallenbeck and her younger siblings have to fight for survival.Fifteen-year-old Caril Hallenbeck is an underachieving misfit in a family of beautiful, talented winners. Walking home from school after receiving yet another terrible report card, she steals herself for the inevitable put down session her father is going to put her through. But as she walks, Caril starts to hear screams coming from the apartment buildings she passes. Then she sees a teenage girl and boy get attacked and beaten with a tire iron by a crazed man.
