The Laughing Gods

The Zilar have return to plague Alexio Sopholus and his friends. To add to his worries, many of his political leaders still do not trust him. Barely surviving two attempts on his life, he is forced to take his wife and friends on a dangerous mission to seek help from an unreliable ally. Following further betrayal, he and his other mage brothers must run for their lives to escape slavery or death at the hands of their many enemies. Somehow Alexio must secure peace and safety for himself, his family, his mage brothers and his friends or watch his world fall into chaos and destruction.
