A Trick of Light

It's 1987. Madonna is top of the charts. 'The Lost Boys' opens in cinemas. Fingerless gloves are in. It is also the year that Rachel Carter runs away from home and is sent to live with her expat father in Hong Kong. In the spirit of 'Riding in Cars with Boys', this moving coming-of-age story is about a father and daughter struggling to connect – one on the verge of adulthood, the other losing himself in a downward spiral of alcoholism. It's about kindness in unexpected places and, in the end, it’s about love.
