Esha is a farmwoman struggling to save for her retirement — a retirement that involved transforming into a goat. Then a phoenix steals the heirloom knife Esha was planning to sell. Esha forges a deal with a back-alley diplomat and the two women journey up-mountain to find the phoenix. With enough translation magic, they might get the knife back — and help the phoenix with her own debts.
