The Chair Falls At Night

Joy family has lost their home to a fire, and the farm house they had to move into gives them hope to build a new future, but this house has a past. Growing up in South Georgia can be hard enough but some change brings scary new experiences of new homes, new furniture and the return of old family friends like Frank Little.

At ten years old, Joy Hand is thankful to have a house but especially her own bedroom for the first time in her life, even if it is one where there is a story her parents don’t want to tell her. But Joy has the greatest weapons to confront whatever story there is about the room: imagination and innocence. She will need both for the summer of 1952, because every night the chair falls, and with the sunrise each day only family and friends can bring hope… or terror.
