King Edgar's Elephant

A children's story which relates how King Edgar of Scotland came to have an elephant, which history mentions that he gave to the King of Ireland.The story begins with a Viking earl and his men who find themselves with an elephant and decide to send it back to Scotia as a present to the king, where its arrival is seen as a miracle; its keeper, however, is sad when they part.
