Kongo is the coming of age story of Ekanga Lohembe, the rebellious princess from a cursed indigenous tribe in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Kimoni and Asha tribes have been cursed for several millennials by a majestic spirit that waits for them to learn the true definition of love. Ekanga hails from the Kimoni Tribe and refuses to conform to any of its rules and customs. She is constantly scolded by her family who worries about her curiosity about the outside world.
