Christmas let me down years ago. The holiday became something to avoid and abhor. Love itself was not something I saw in my future. Who the hell wants the hassle when it can be ripped from you in the blink of an eye? Even as a young child. I was content to live my life alone, never feeling. Until Missy kissed her way into my path. Now, I have to overcome my own melancholy so I can hold on tight to this spritely, majestic woman before she realizes I don't believe in the magic of Christmas as she does.
