The war on terror is actually a war that it brought upon itself. According to the Annual US Treasury Report on Spending and Revenue for the years 1999-2012, closer to 3 percent of the total GDP was spent extra on defense, in addition to the allotted defense budget, seemingly on the war on terror. This money could very well be spent on Healthcare, if there’s no war on terror.
