Mogadishu Diaries Bloodlines is based on my personal experience as a US Marine peacekeeper during Operation Restore Hope from 9 December 1992 until 21 March 1993. One of my unit's most dangerous missions was the pursuit of a beloved and revered Somali warlord named Mohamed Farrah Aidid. This is my personal account...Those who survived the horrible battles of the American Civil War are talked about almost as much as the many thousands who did not.
