“So … what do we do now?” she asked, reaching behind to wrap her arms around his neck.

“We soak in this wonderful tub.”

“I mean tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that. What are my official duties as your mate?”

“To do everything I say without question or hesitation.”

She swiveled on his lap and gave him a scowl. “Wrong.”

“Just thought I’d try,” he said with a laugh. “Basically, it’s no different than mating with someone at the settlement. Take your parents, for example. They support each other and help the colony run smoothly. I will help you with the children, although you do have to give birth to them.”

“Children, as in plural?”

“If that’s okay with you,” he said softly. “I have a lot of catching up to do.”

“Eight hundred years of catching up? Oh my poor uterus.”

“Noooo, nothing like that. I want a family that I can be close to and care for. This isn’t a numbers game for me.”

“Thank goodness.” As Madeleine swiveled back around, she felt a bulge pressing against her. “Again?”

“Sorry. Lots of catching up, remember? I seem to have broken the off button.”

“I don’t mind it,” she said, sliding around on his lap. “I just want my mate to be happy,” she said in a singsong voice. “This is the one thing I will do without question or hesitation.”

He wrapped his arms under her legs and folded her back against his chest, giving her a chance to grip his cock with her hands and line it up directly with her opening.

Madeleine moaned as he slid her down along his cock, swiveling her hips for better insertion. She whispered, “The one thing I want you to do for me without question or hesitation, is make me come as hard as possible.”

“As you wish,” he said, wrapping his arms around her and preparing to do as he was told.

Chapter 7

While the dragons and their mates were rocking every level of the cliffs, all hell was breaking loose in the seedy part of the settlement. Word had gotten back to the smugglers about the moss and they realized their entire operation was about to dry up. Without the fever, no one would try to leave. If no one needed to escape, the settlers wouldn’t be offering gold or pussy as payment.

“I heard it was the one you liked,” the scrawny smuggler said to Captain Badeed. “She sent the moss to her sister and they’re growing it in that greenhouse.”

“She couldn’t leave well enough alone,” Captain Badeed grumbled while rubbing his scruff. “I would have taken care of that pretty thing too.”

“Can’t trust those bitches,” the man with the round face interjected. “Ungrateful women. They only resist in the beginning, and then they can’t get enough.”

The other smugglers in the bar grunted in agreement. “What are we gonna do about this bullshit, Captain?”

They waited patiently for him to speak and leaned in as he rose to his feet and stood on a chair.

“The time for being nice is over,” he said. “Our species is in danger. For that reason, I am passing a new bylaw. That bylaw states there are no longer any rules on this planet. All who agree say aye.”

The crowd echoed with resounding agreement.

“All who oppose say nay.”

The crowd was silent. “That’s right,” he growled. “We have no use for fucking nay. No one in this room needed moss to keep the fever away. We’re the strong ones. Here we are doing our parts to ensure our population stays afloat and they shit on us. He yanked a pregnant woman from the crowd and made a rough grab at her belly. “My seed did this. We will keep this place populated with strong DNA. This is war!”

While most of the crowd cheered in agreement, a quiet voice called out from the back. “But they’re dragons. How are we expected to fight a tribe of dragons?”

“How? We will meet their flame with our lasers. Our spacecraft are as fast as their wings. They will never see us coming.”

Madeleine searched the crowd until her eyes settled on Delilah who was sitting alone eating her breakfast.
